IDLookup

What it does:

IDLookup takes a list of people and attempts to look them up in The Raiser's Edge. You can map various criteria sets for looking up. The plug-in will try to match against each criteria set until it finds either a unique match or the match with the fewest multiples. IDLookup now comes with two additional modules: IDLookup Search and IDLookup DeDupe, see below for more details.

Avoid creating duplicates when importing data, constantly check new user accounts that might be created via a website and take advantage of really powerful search and filtering functionality.

Together with IDLookup you also get IDLookup Search. This search utiltiy has all the power of IDLookup with the convenience of a regular search. You can search using wildcards or search using criteria sets to bring up a single record or to navigate through many records as you would do in query. See the screencast below for more details.

With the latest version of IDLookup you also get IDLookup Dedupe. This application allows you to dedupe your database making use of IDLookup's powerful criteria set functionality to create a custom duplicate report. Just as with the RE import module you can map your file to the plug-in's standard naming convention and save this as a template for future use.
The input and output can be in either Excel or CSV format. The output will give the number of matches found in RE, the unique constituent id and input id or a list of multiple constituent and input ids.

IDLookup includes multpile criteria sets for advanced searching and a more powerful output format for duplicate matches. IDLookup has also been customized depending on where you are in the world.
You can match on different numbers of characters or using Soundex and you can filter your results by a query of constituents so they will only appear in the match if they are also in the query.
